MacNeills Brook
Anne fans will want to pay a visit to MacNeill’s Brook. This bubbling brook sits on what was once the MacNeil homestead and farm, owned by David and Margaret MacNeil. Neighbours and cousins of Lucy Maud Montgomery, the MacNeil’s home and farm provided much of the inspiration for the setting of Green Gables. Today, the property is known as Green Gables Heritage Place, and includes MacNeil’s Brook. This freshwater brook and outflow is a lovely spot for families and sweethearts. Just remember to bring some raspberry cordial to enjoy while you sit by the brook!
