Socktoberfest – Super Simple Socks Workshop

Do you know basic knit and purl stitches and would love to knit up cozy socks but the thought of turning a heel is just so discouraging? This workshop is for you! Using my original “Super Simple Sock Pattern”, you will learn the Turkish cast-on, how to knit the heel and toe of a sock using the German short-row technique, how to knit in the round using two same-size circular knitting needles (no shorties or DPs required) and, finally, how to knit a stretchy cast-off that won’t be tight on your leg. You will take home my “Super Simple Sock Pattern” which includes Instructions for socks in worsted or sock-weight wool, and in sizes Ladies’ 6/7/Men 5 to Ladies’ 11 and Men’s 16! Plus – you’ll find loads of hints and tips as well as 4 video tutorials to ensure a successful project no matter what your experience level is.

“Socktoberfest – Super Simple Socks” is offered every Thursday from 11 am – 1 pm, May 29th to October 9th, 2025. Space is limited – advance registration, including payment, is required to guarantee your spot.

Price: $75.00 (+HST) per person. Have your own double-pointed or circular needles? Bring them along! If not – we have, available to purchase, a lovely selection of Canadian-made ergonomic “Square” needles by Kollage that relieve stress and pain in your hands and wrists!
