Cavendish Race Weekend

Mark your calendars for the Cavendish Race Weekend, set to take place on June 14th and 15th. You will be running through some of the most beautiful settings in all of PEI. Get set for a duathlon on Saturday and our 5k & 10k runs on Sunday. Make it a weekend and join us in Cavendish.

Get ready to run, ride, and race your way through the breathtaking landscapes of Cavendish Beach! This local duathlon offers a fun and achievable challenge for athletes of all levels, combining a 2.5km run, an 18km scenic bike ride, and a final 2.5km run to the finish. The route along Gulf Shore Parkway showcases stunning coastal views as racers take in the beauty of PEI’s north shore. Following the duathlon, participants can kick back and enjoy live music, delicious food and drink, and a vibrant post-race celebration.

This year’s 6KM and 10KM race routes offer a brand-new experience through the stunning landscapes of Cavendish Beach and the Dunelands Trail. Starting at the Cavendish Visitor Information Centre, both courses guide runners along coastal paths, wooded trails, and the iconic floating boardwalk over the Lake of Shining Waters. Whether you’re tackling the shorter loop or taking on the full 10KM, expect breathtaking views, gentle inclines, and a course that showcases the very best of Prince Edward Island’s National Park.
