Workshop – The ABCs of Knitting
If you’ve always wanted to learn to knit, we’re offering a workshop for beginners – three 2-hour Saturday morning sessions starting at 11 a.m. in our studio.
We make sure you get started on the right foot with Collage Square circular knitting needles, made in Canada, and a skein of Briggs and Little Heritage wool. Why wool? Not only is wool 100% natural and renewable, it is a very “forgiving” yarn that is perfect for novice knitters!
If you choose the “Deluxe” option, you will also receive at a special discounted price our “Knitter’s Travel Kit” – a carefully curated selection of knitting accessories to get you started on the right foot! The kit comes in a zippered canvas pouch and includes folding travel scissors, a spiral cable needle, sewing/darning needles, a 60″ (152 cm) retractable measuring tape, a row counter, colorful silicone stitch markers, pompom stitch/row markers, a knitting needle gauge/ruler, a pair of silicone stitch stoppers and a little mini-pouch to corral the little bits (like stitch markers).
“The ABCs of Knitting” will be held over three Saturdays: November 16th, 23rd and 30th. Space is limited – advance registration, including payment, is required to reserve your spot. Minimum 3 guests, maximum 6 guests.
Standard Price: $95.00 (+HST) per person, includes 1 set of needles, 1 skein of wool and 3 lessons.
Deluxe Price (including Knitter’s Travel Kit): $159.00 (+ HST) per person, includes 1 set of needles, 1 skein of wool, 1 Knitter’s Travel Kit and 3 lessons.
