Secret Paths: A Literary Walk through Cavendish

Kick off the inaugural Cavendish Literary Festival with a scenic 7 km hike through some of L. M. Montgomery’s favourite spots.

Begin at Samuel’s in Avonlea Village with a grab-and-go treat, then follow a guided route through the gentle slopes of Cavendish Grove to the Dunelands Trail and Cavendish Beach.
After a break for water and some live music by Olivia Blacquiere, continue through the Haunted Woods to Montgomery Park and the Site of L. M. Montgomery’s Homestead (admission included), then stroll to the Ship’s Company for lunch and entertainment by Lawrence Maxwell.

Enjoy food, music, surprises, and photo-worthy views along the way.
