20th River Days Festival with Anica and Roland

They’ll blow the roof off at Carr’s Oyster Bar! Come on out and celebrate the kick-off of River Days with the one and only Anica (Katey Day). She is well known for her sultry voice (a mix of Janis Joplin and Carol King) and can belt out R&B, Blues, and Country like no other. A few of her many accolades are: opening for and singing with Great Big Sea. She has performed on America’s Got Talent and in 2019 came 2nd in the ‘World’ Karaoke contest where she represented the Maritimes. Most recently, she received the Gold buzzer on her first performance on Canada’s Got Talent.

With a few tunes of his own, Roland’s backup vocals and amazing guitar riffs will have everyone up dancing like a rock star. Music PEI’s Musician of the Year in 2021, Roland has been a favored PEI musician for over 25 years as a solo artist and backup musician in venues all over PEI and across Canada with artists including Cory Gallant, Trinity Bradshaw, Nolan Compton, Michel LaLonde, Carol Baker, Route 225, and Amanda Jackson. On Roland’s 2023 wish list is to immerse himself in new styles and genres to continue his growth as a player and musician.
