Spotlight Session with Antonio Michael Downing

Help us wrap up the festival by joining musician and CBC’s The Next Chapter host Antonio Michael Downing for a riveting discussion about his memoir Saga Boy, children’s book Stars in My Crown, and his highly anticipated debut novel Black Cherokee.

The session, moderated by Laura Chaplin, will be preceded by a talk with Theresa Redmond, award-winning author, former senior government executive, and writer on Indigenous rights. Redmond will launch her new book, The Governor’s Granddaughter, which tells a fascinating story of a young woman living under the shadow of her family’s shameful past who becomes determined to atone for their misdeeds.
