Buttery Brioche – Double the Fun! Knitpickers by Margaret
Double your fun with brioche made two ways – as a stitch and as a bread!
During this two-hour workshop, you’ll discover how easy it is to create a 2-colour brioche stitch. You’ll learn by knitting a brioche sample piece on a pair of double-pointed needles. Brioche knitting creates a cushiony, reversible fabric that is actually easier to knit if you use 2 colours!
And after you’ve mastered the brioche stitch, we’ll share our tried-and-true secrets to making a delectable loaf of buttery brioche bread.
To inspire you to create your own brioche, you’ll leave with our Knit Pickers Brioche Cowl pattern, 2 skeins of Briggs and Little wool in your choice of colours, and our very own family recipe for buttery herb and parmesan brioche bread.
Space is limited for this tasty workshop and advanced registration is required to reserve your spot. Please bring your PEI Vax Pass to the workshop.
Cost is $60.00 (+HST) per person.
Have your own double-pointed needles? Bring them along! If not, Knit Pickers has a lovely selection of birch needles, handcrafted in Atlantic Canada, available for sale. .
**Note: Basic knitting skills (how to knit and purl stitches) are required.
