Excellent place to spend a holiday with access to beach and lots of room to walk. Eleanor and family make you feel very welcome. We come back every year and enjoy it so much. Very clean too. Love the farm atmosphere.
We were in a cottage for a week, largely a drizzly, cool week--far from beach weather I am accustomed to in June. However, being at the farm made it a wonderful week. The kids were able to play on the swings often, and all of us enjoyed the short walk to the beach many times. Even with other families in next door cottages, we felt we had plenty of privacy to enjoy the front porch desk or the swingsets. We were welcomed to visit the barns and see the cows, pet the farm dog, and enjoy the cats at a distance--they weren't particularly chummy. The farm hands were friendly and informative and the kids were thrilled to get to sit in the big tractors. The cottage was well-supplied, and if you can't find something, just ask. You will need a car; this is not a location with a convenience store on the next corner.…
We spent three nights in one of the cottages at Parkview Farm and loved it. The uninvited guest was Hurricane Dorian who put a damper on our traveling around PEI. Eleanor and Alvin were so nice and accommodating during the storm - we appreciated their kindness and hospitality so very much. We’d love to come back and spend some more time at Parkview Farm - you know you’re in a good place when your fellow visitors have been coming for 20+ years!
We couldn’t be happier with this vacation. We stayed in a 2 bedroom cottage across the road from the farm. Cottage was very clean and roomy with ac, front porch and view of the water past the field of cows. When I peeked in the barn to see if we could go in they were milking and invited us to come see. The staff are extremely welcoming and obviously love having visitors, especially kids. They are very kind people and easy to spend tome with. Other guests said they were annual visitors and I can see why. Two calves were born during our two night stay which was very exciting for my daughters. They also had new little kittens, friendly cats and a dog named Abby. They guests were encouraged to pet and play with all of them. Milking was at 5:30am and 4pm everyday and guests are more than welcome in the barn. We didn’t access the beach but heard good things about it. The tourist part of Cavendish with the boardwalk, sandspit and shining waters is only a two minute drive from the farm.…
Great experience for our family to stay on a dairy farm. Watched the milking, explored the barn, played with the cats. Owners very friendly and welcoming. Great location, close to beach. Cottages themselves are lovely if a bit rustic, but suited us perfectly. Two bedrooms, nice sitting area, spacious kitchen. Beautiful ocean view. Memorable.
