Memoirs and the Meaning of Family: A conversation with Donna Morrissey

Bestselling Newfoundland-born author Donna Morrissey joins Karen Mair for a heartfelt conversation about the stories, people, and places that have inspired her celebrated body of work, including her forthcoming memoir, Tell It to the Water.

Available August 11, Tell It to the Water is a powerful memoir of love, grief, and the meaning of family that sings with Morrissey’s inimitable style and the unforgettable voices of her Newfoundland parents and siblings. Through the perspectives of her four surviving siblings, Morrissey recounts the family’s struggle to cope with the loss of their mother while trying to save their stubborn, loving, and often infuriating father from the weight of his own grief.

Attendees will have the opportunity to ask questions, meet the author, and have books signed following the event.
