The Homestead Trail starts by following an old carriage road through a spruce forest. There are a few glimpes of Cavendish Beach along the way. After a kilometer the trail comes to a picnic table overlooking New London Bay and the back side of Cavendish Dunes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The trail continues around the bay and crosses several steel bridges over inlets. The trail continues along the cliff tops overlooking the bay. A large loop trail travels through patches of forest and through all kinds of active farmers fields, including potatoes, wheat, and hay. The loop eventually returns to the trail along the bay.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
